Jon leads a national team of Account Executives, partnering with employers and consultants across the country, and holds overall net new revenue responsibility for the division. He brings decades of experience in employee benefits consulting, sales, and leadership, having built his career with some of the industry’s leading companies before joining Care.com.

A graduate of the University of Richmond, Jon lives in Northern Virginia with his wife, where they’re busy raising their three boys.

Frances leads Medical and Scientific Affairs at Nox, working to share the value of innovative sleep care models. She brings over 20 years of experience in technology-delivered behavioral and medical treatments, including development, evaluation, and communication of outcomes in more than a dozen digital or prescription digital therapeutics. Frances worked with a multi-disciplinary team to successfully bring the first prescription digital therapeutic for chronic insomnia through the FDA authorization process. She has held leadership roles in discovery, clinical development, medical affairs, and oversight of science at small start-ups in the digital therapeutic space. Most of her early career was spent as a faculty member at the University of Virginia, Center for Behavioral Health and Technology. While on faculty at the University of Virginia, she was a co-investigator for multiple National Institutes of Healthfunded studies utilizing technology to increase access to effective behavioral treatments, including insomnia. In 2016, she co-founded a company and took on the role of Chief Science Officer, an entity she and her colleagues founded to move evidence-based programs into the real world. Frances completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at American University and a post-doctoral fellowship in behavioral health and technology at the University of Virginia School of Medicine.

Danielle Lee, editor-in-chief of Employee Benefit News, was most recently managing editor of Accounting Today, and previously served as technology editor of Accounting Today and editor-in-chief of AccountingTechnology.com. Prior to that, she held the role of senior editor.

Before joining Arizent, she covered the emerging corporate responsibility movement for CRO (Corporate Responsibility Officer, now CR) magazine as executive editor and worked for a range of entertainment and lifestyle publications in Los Angeles, including industry trade magazine TelevisionWeek. She holds a bachelor’s degree in print journalism and a minor in cinema/television from the University of Southern California.

Matthew Owenby is an experienced people leader who, during his 14-year tenure at Aflac, has played a significant role in shaping the Fortune 250 company’s culture of dignity, compassion and respect. Matthew joined Aflac in 2012 as Vice President of HR Business Partners and previously held the roles of Chief Human Resources Officer and Chief Strategy Officer. In his current role of Chief Administrative Officer, Matthew oversees Aflac’s human resources function, as well as other core and strategic initiatives. Prior to Aflac, Matthew held senior HR positions at Bank of America and GE.

Matthew has received several awards that recognize his leadership, including a Gold Stevie Award for HR Executive of the Year, SHRM Impact Award, HRO Today’s Lifetime Achievement award and CHRO of the Year, HR.com’s Top Corporate Leader, and Best in Biz Award.

Matthew earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Georgia State University and a Master of Business Administration from Mercer University. He is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Jennifer Weinstein is a dynamic global human resources leader with extensive expertise in the  strategy, design, delivery, communication and management of all aspects of employee benefits  programs. She has led benefits for Fortune 100 companies for over twenty-years, and has received  several notable awards for her work, including being an Employee Benefit News’ 2026 Excellence in  Benefits Award winner, and a 2025 Top Women In Grocery Honoree as a winner in the senior-level  executive category. Jennifer is always in pursuit of doing everything better by being creative in  thought and action and she is passionate about improving the lives of employees and their families.

In June 2026, Jennifer published her first book Benefits Burnout: How to (fall) back in love with your  employee benefits career. Jennifer was inspired to write about a topic that many discuss behind  closed doors, but do not discuss in public. She hopes this book allows an industry experiencing  unprecedented change due to increasing cost pressures, healthcare consolidation, and more, to talk  openly about the burnout being felt by so many before it’s too late.

Jennifer is currently VP Benefits at Albertsons Companies, where she leads health and welfare, retirement, and time away from work benefits, and the associate experience center. She has the  amazing privilege of helping associates and their families when they need care the most through the  benefits she creates.

Heather Newton, MA, SHRM-CP, serves as the Director of Talent and Training at Child & Family Center in Santa Clarita, California. A certified Human Resources professional with more than 13 years of experience in the mental health and addiction treatment field, Heather brings a unique blend of clinical insight and operational expertise to her role. 

With a master’s degree in clinical psychology, Heather has always been deeply passionate about the field of mental health. Though she chose to focus her career on people operations, she uses her clinical background to inform her approach to supporting and developing staff, recognizing that a healthy, empowered workforce is essential to fulfilling the Center’s mission. 

Heather obtained her SHRM-CP certification in 2021 and received her Certificate as a Workplace Mental Health Ally in 2024.

Heather is inspired every day by the dedication, compassion, and professionalism of the Center’s staff. She is committed to fostering a positive and supportive environment where employees feel valued, equipped, and connected to the life-changing work they do. Her efforts directly contribute to the Center’s success in providing vital services to children and families in the Santa Clarita Valley and beyond.

In 2024, Sheena was named HR Leader of the Year by the Houston Business Journal for her work in modernizing compensation structures, launching a holistic wellness program, and introducing innovative healthcare solutions that improve access to affordable, high-quality care. Known for her data-driven and employee-centered approach, she has led initiatives that strengthen employee well-being, enhance organizational effectiveness, and align people strategies with business objectives.

She regularly shares her expertise through industry conferences and leadership forums, speaking on benefits innovation, total rewards strategy, and healthcare trends.

Sheena holds a Master of Arts in Applied Social Research and Statistics and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Investigations from West Virginia University.

Doretha Polite is an award-winning Human Resources executive, author, speaker, and advocate for compassionate leadership with more than 25 years of leadership experience spanning employee relations, organizational development, benefits strategy, workplace culture, and talent management. As a senior HR leader for a nonprofit civil rights organization, Doretha is recognized for transforming traditional HR and benefits practices into people-centered strategies that strengthen employee well-being, engagement, and organizational performance. Her innovative approach to Total Wellness focuses on emotional, mental, physical, financial, and professional well-being.

Doretha has also been recognized as an Influential Leader for her commitment to developing others, fostering inclusive workplace cultures, and advancing conversations around compassionate leadership, resilience, and employee experience. Throughout her career, she has championed the belief that organizations achieve their greatest impact when they invest intentionally in their people. She has successfully led initiatives that expand employee development opportunities, enhance workplace culture, strengthen leadership effectiveness, and create environments where employees feel seen, valued, and empowered to thrive.

In addition to her executive leadership work, Doretha is an accomplished author, leadership coach, and speaker whose work focuses on compassionate leadership, resilience, employee experience, career development, and organizational well-being.
