Benefits Manager

Brickyard Healthcare

I joined Brickyard Healthcare in November 2020 as a contractor to assist in the implementation of their new HRIS system. Within a few months I was brought on as the Benefits & HR Admin in March of 2021. The role included not only managing employee benefits, but 401K, FMLA, and HSA/FSA. In January of 2022 I became the Benefits Manager of Brickyard Healthcare and Salude, the Art of Recovery. In my role I manage employee benefits, market campaigns for the culture of our staff, promote wellness programs, lead trainings on all areas of benefits and FMLA, and maintain Brickyard Healthcare’s compliance with DOL, CMS, and 401(k). My 20+ years of Customer Service, Annuity, 401(k) and HR experience has prepared me for the role that I am in today. My focus is that of the Employee and their Rights. I want to ensure that the employees that I work for are receiving the best benefits available and will continue to strive to introduce new plans and programs. I enjoy communicating with the employees and educating them on the benefits offered. Some may say I over communicate, but they love my corny text messages and emails.

I’ve worked for Fortune 500 Companies such as Infosys in Atlanta, GA from 2009 – 2016 where I assisted in the training and opening of new call centers to support the growth of the Life and Annuity Clients, like TIAA and State Farm. I assisted in the administration of high-level client policies. I soon realized that I wanted to go a different path and began working closely with the Human Resource Department at Infosys, leading Diversity and Inclusion, Customer Service, New Hire Orientation, and various Compliance Trainings to employees in the U.S. and India. I returned home to Indianapolis, Indiana in 2016 and started working for Delaware Life. There I assisted in training New Hires on the products offered by the company and worked in their Service Improvement Department. The desire to further my knowledge in Human Resources led me to the Service Engineering role at Kronos, now UKG in 2019. I assisted various clients of different employee sizes with their HRIS system and trained clients on how to use the system to fit their company needs.

I received my certification in LOMA, Benefits, and continuing to obtain my CEBS. I attended Dillard University in New Orleans, LA. I enjoy spending time with my family, watching football, cooking, and giving back to the community.
